IFRS ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
Location: Warszawa

Job purpose
The Technical Accounting Specialist is part of the Accounting & Consolidation team. This team which is part of Group Finance can be split into Business Intelligence, Group Accounting, Group Financial control, Development and innovation including a global credit control team and Technical accounting. Next to that Group finance consists of Tax, Treasury, Procurement, M&A and FP&A. in this role you will work closely with the financial controllers and the director Accounting & Consolidation. You will report to the manager financial control. You will be responsible for the technical IFRS framework and make sure that we simplify the accounting rules, follow up on new accounting treatments & events and solve potential discussions with the auditors. Topics that you should have interest in are especially IFRS 15 – revenue recognition, IFRS 16 – lease accounting and IFRS 9 – Expected Credit loss.
 
Key responsibilities

- Maintain, publish and simplify accounting manuals
- Support local offices and Group Financial control for reporting to the Group
- Understand and interpret new accounting standards
- Identify and monitor accounting issues
- Train and guide local offices and Group Financial control
- Solve technical accounting issues with the Group Auditor

Key requirements

- University working and thinking level
- A minimum of 5 years relevant working experience (in audit or within an international company)
- Thorough and organized with eye for details
- Be able to work under time pressure and flexibility in terms of workload is necessary at times
- Proactive – takes responsibility – completes tasks – Result-oriented
- IFRS knowledge
- Set up accounting manual
- Good communication skills
- Develops plans which deliver the objectives set
- Stable individual who copes well with organizational change and maintains a positive contribution under stress and pressure
